Kaelci Theuri:

As I enter my junior year, my primary goal is to excel academically while balancing a rigorous course load with my other commitments. Like many other juniors, I’m navigating the challenges of a demanding academic schedule, preparing for college entrance exams, and participating in extracurricular activities. I’m also excited to serve as the Student Government Association Executive Treasurer and as a member of the Thompson High School TV staff, both of which offer unique opportunities to build leadership skills and showcase my talents.

Sasha Gann:

A major goal I have is to have an amazing time and stay academically focused. Keeping up my grades while almost being finished with high school will be my main focus. I am so excited for my senior year!

Kaitlyn Burnett:

I am excited for my senior year to begin! This year my academic goals are to prepare for college through dual enrollment classes and internships offered through the Health Sciences Academy. I would also like to stay involved in clubs and extracurricular activities. Lastly, I am excited to participate in all the senior traditions with the class of 2025!

Simone Jones:

I am a sophomore this year and I want to make a difference and ensure that the school year is full of inclusion. This is my second year serving as Class President, and my goal is to make sure more people are involved with each other and the exciting opportunities we have at school, which include pep rallies, dress-up days, and clubs. I am focusing on the word “determination” this year as I strive to make sophomore year better than freshman year. I will do everything in my power as a leader in my school to ensure that more students in the Class of ‘27 get to experience a new level of achievement!

Thuy Nguyen:

This year, as a junior, I am setting many academic and personal goals for myself. First, I would like to improve my time management and study habits. For students like me, who are involved in sports or extracurricular activities, this is crucial. My second goal is to forge new friendships and maintain existing relationships. High school can be tough, but having friends to support me makes a huge difference!

Leah McCay:

In my junior year I want to create better study habits which are crucial since I will be taking AP classes and the ACT. I want to become more involved with clubs and extracurriculars to learn about leadership, service, and versatility. These skills will help me succeed in my contribution as Student Government Association Junior Class Treasurer and as the Secretary of International Thespian Society, two positions I’m equally grateful and excited to hold this year! I hope to tour some college campuses and become more educated on my college options to create more confidence in my plans moving into senior year.

Lauren Blackmon:

I cannot wait for the opportunities that both school and my extracurriculars bring me. I am a rising junior and I aspire to achieve higher grades and balance my extracurriculars for this upcoming year. This year is all about how I can go the extra mile, not only for myself, but for others as well!

Akaree Barbour:

I am a senior. I have been part of many organizations and events throughout my three years at Thompson High School. I would like to bridge gaps through the lessons I have learned in and out of school, to hopefully bring more inclusiveness to clubs, friend groups, or even community events. I also would like to captivate and maximize my last year as a Thompson Warrior before I graduate.

Blair Njaguna:

My goals for this year as a senior are to create lasting memories with my friends and to make the most of every moment we have together. This year is special to me as it is my last year in Alabama, and I want to cherish it fully before moving on to new adventures. Simultaneously, I am committed to navigating the college application process with dedication, aiming to secure a spot at my dream school. Balancing these two priorities, I hope to end my high school journey on a high note, both personally and academically.

Sullivan Cole:

I am a rising junior. One goal I have for this school year is to get a good score on my ACT (hopefully in the 30s), so I can get a scholarship to college. Another goal of mine is to pass my Spanish class so I can take Spanish two next year and graduate with honors. This is going to be a big year for me, and I am going to take it by storm!

Samantha Edwards:

I am excited to begin my new journey in high school. My goal as a freshman is to adjust to life in high school. I know for certain it will not be like anything l have experienced before. There are so many more opportunities to explore my passions and interests, but l will also have more responsibilities. It is a bit daunting, though I’m still excited!

Maddie Baxley:

As a senior this year, I want to excel academically by staying focused and dedicated to my studies. I also aim to continue building my leadership skills. I also want to improve my time management skills to balance schoolwork and personal life better.
