Crafty Kids Club: Self Portrait Painting, March 7 at 6:00 p.m. Kids 6 to 18 years old can sign up to paint a small acrylic portrait of themselves. Dress for mess. Kids under age 8 must be with an adult. Meets in the Nan Abbott Room.

Shelby 4-H Drama Club, March 9 at 4:00 p.m. Kids ages 9 to 18 years old can get in the spotlight during the Shelby 4-H Drama Club led by Julie Yocom, Shelby County 4-H Foundation regional Extension Agent. Sign up at v2.4honline.com and click ‘drama club.’ Meets in the Nan Abbott Room. 

PJ Story Time, March 9 at 6:15 p.m. This session will help young ones wind down with sleepy time tales and calming songs. Families with kids age 11 and younger can wear pajamas if they want to. Meets in the Nan Abbott Room.

Science Saturday: DIY Tornadoes, March 11 at 10:30 a.m. Spring safety! Kids will learn about tornado preparedness and make a tornado in a bottle. Meets in the Nan Abbott Room.

Homeschool Happening: Secrets of Bee Keeping, March 13 at 10:00 a.m. Bee experts from Granddaughter’s Bees will visit to share their knowledge, gear, art and more. Students in grades 1 through 6 can attend. Meets in the Nan Abbott Room.

Pi Day the Easy Way, March 14 at 6:00 p.m. Math fans can sign up for our Pi Day celebration and take part in snacks, activities, jokes and more. Besides the significance of 3, 1, 4 to Pi – March 14 is Albert Einstein’s birthday. Come learn and share Pi trivia. Is it the most important number in the universe? Meets in the Nan Abbott Meeting Room.

Manners & More Tea Party, March 21 at 5:00 p.m. Children ages 6 to 12 can fine tune their manners with etiquette expert Kathie Martin of the Etiquette School of Birmingham. Find out: American dining style vs. Continental dining style, what is acceptable to eat with your hands, appropriate conversation at the table, and more! This program will use hot tea and real china cups, saucers, and plates. Children must be signed up as well as any adults who want to sit at a table with a child. Meets in the Nan Abbott Room.
